We are those crazy people you read about that uproot their lives in the city and decide to buy a farm. We lived in the Clifton neighborhood in Louisville, KY. on 3/4 of an acre where we raised seven hives of bees, had chickens and ducks and a massive garden. Because of our love of bacon and other pork products, the next logical step was to get pigs. Unfortunately, city ordinances do not allow for hoofed animals, so after a three year search for the right place, we found some land near Hanover Indiana that we could develop into a working farm.
