We found 40 acres that had never been farmed before with a beautiful lake. Two years later, the house has been rehabbed and pasture fencing has been installed for all our animals. In areas where scrub plants have grown thick, we send in our pygmy goats to knock the invasive plants down allowing the pigs to forage on the more tasty options in the woods. The pigs love nuts, so in the fall they enjoy the acorns and beech nuts our trees provide. The Large Black Hogs, goats, and chickens live in houses we built on skids or in moveable coops so they can be rotated to different pastures based on season. In summer, they rotate through out Non-GMO planted pastures for a variety of forage options. Rotational grazing makes for a healthier animal and better meat for you!
